About the Position
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Social Mobilizer to join our team. As a Social Mobilizer, you will play a crucial role in engaging communities, raising awareness, and facilitating the implementation of our programs. You will work closely with community members, local leaders, and stakeholders to ensure the success and sustainability of our initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Community Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with community members to foster trust and collaboration.
- Awareness Campaigns: Plan and execute outreach activities and campaigns to educate communities about various issues and programs.
- Facilitation: Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, and training sessions with local stakeholders.
- Data Collection: Gather and report on community feedback and program impact to inform future initiatives.
- Networking: Collaborate with other organizations and agencies to maximize resources and support.
Qualifications
- Education: A degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, or related field is preferred.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in community mobilization or related work.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and planning abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Knowledge of local languages is an advantage
- Personal Attributes: Empathetic, proactive, and passionate about community development.
- Familiarity with the cultural, social and economics context of the target area.
- Proficiency in local languages is required, knowledge of English is an advantage.
- Experience in facilitating meetings and conducting trainings.
- Good report writing skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of team.
SALARY – Negotiable
